Exuma (southern part of the Bahamas) has 365 atolls and is a fantastic, unspoiled, non-commercial place to visit.

One picture …. is the main market!

In 2011, we spent an exceptional week at the Sandals Emerald Bay and around the Islands.

We met a couple from the UK who had a beach side cottage and had been to the islands many times.  They showed us some of the wonderful places and night life on the island.

The Sandals resort was the only main resort on the island, there are a number of smaller quaint hotels (approx. 10 rooms each).  Even though we had butler service at Sandals, we spent quite a bit of time off the resort following our new found friends and experiencing the islands and locals.

We had a couple of arranged excursions to other islands: iguana, swimming pigs, yacht club, celebrity owned islands, James Bond Thunderball cave.

Enjoyed the Chat N’ Chill “the Best Bar in the World”, Santanna’s Beach Bar, Rake and Scrape, and a few more.

And on top of all that, 3 rounds of golf at the Greg Norman golf course connected to Sandals. One of the best courses I have played, with stunning views.
