Our clients came to us with a request for a trip around Asia, including some specifics (for instance Singapore, Japan).
This was to coincide with a life passage and experience.
We worked with one of our trusted partners, who are very knowledgeable of the continent. Our partner took some existing tour packages and assisted us to customize the offerings to our clients wants, desire and requirements.
As we balanced the components between quality, private, small group, pricing, dates and sequence we ended with an arranged almost 40 day trip around Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Myanmar, Laos) including a total of 14 flights, bullet trains, private limousines, river cruise, cruise around the bay and many private, individual components.
Among many visits, sites and activities, the clients spent enough time on a beach portion to enable scuba diving. They were provided access to the Ch Chi tunnels.
We made sure they had the proper visa information and visa. We recommended and secured the correct travel insurance for the trip.
As it transpired, the Covid-19 pandemic became apparent during the trip. This created the need to interrupt he trip early and bring the client home before the scheduled end. Unfortunately, some components had to be cancelled. Along with our partner we worked some “magic” and rescheduled flights, cancelled unused components and assisted in the insurance claim submission.
We still monitored the situation, trip fallout, insurance claim a number of months following the trip.
